Last Week
Very calm week, with most traders watching the path of Rita, hoping to get ahead of any negative impact a hit to Houston would have caused.  Rates virtually unchanged as a result.
This Week
Consumer confidence (Tuesday) would seem to head the list of data releases worth watching, though any of this week’s numbers can move the market if they are divergent with expectations.  Also on the slate: New home sales, a Treasury Auction (2 year notes), Durable goods orders, Personal Income and Outlays, and 2nd Q GDP revision.
