Monday Market Commentary

Last Week
Sept. payrolls came in stronger than expected last Friday, putting a bit of upward pressure on rates, for the week, most interest rates rose slightly.  For those keeping track, this is the fourth straight week of upward movement.
This Week
Market is closed Monday for Columbus day.  Tuesday’s Fed minutes and the Consumer Price Index on Thursday will be the numbers to watch the rest of this short week, though Industrial production figures and the Treasury auction (5 year notes) may impact rates as well – as always, see the economic calendar below for more info on upcoming events.
