First, if you haven’t done so this year, got get yourself a free copy of your credit report here: www.annualcreditreport.com
Now, go to this website [optoutprescreen.com] and opt out of pre-screened credit card offers (one of the most common methods of identity theft is stealing these)this will also halt the credit offer junk mail.
Next up? The do not call registry [donotcall.gov] Stop the telemarketing.
