Trader Joe’s Coming Downtown?

UPDATE:  Looks like this location will be a non-starter for Trader Joe’s Downtown, as an agreement cannot at this point be reached for the 50 surface parking spots that the Trader apparently needs for a new location.  Word is Trader Joe’s is still seeking a downtown Mpls Location. [thanks to real-life StarTribune reporter Chris Serres for doing the heavy lifting on this after our initial tip]

For now, we’ll file this in the semi-unsubstantiated rumor bin, but we have heard from several reliable sources that the downtown Trader Joe’s location will be on Park Ave & Second St.  See site plan above.
